Hi again!
Can someone explain to me the connection between total performance and total line rating.
For example, in the last match my total performance was 801, the opponent had 789.
Total line rating after the game 145-147 in his favor. There were no red cards.
Where did that difference get lost?

I don't know the exact calculation method, but after performance the line ratings are determined.
Tactics, cards and home advantage (+/- +1LR) and away disadvantage (+/- -1LR) are taken into account.
Setting the right tactics for your formation is important here.
Aggression is taken into account.
Also don't forget that all numbers can be rounded off. Line ratings (46.6 + 47.7 + 51.6?) and performance (72,7+72,7+...) This can be important.
This game:
Specifically for this match.
Your aggression was 10% less (+/-1LR?) He had home advantage (+/-2LR) and had a midfielder on offense. (+/-1LR)
+/-2LR is about 12 performance difference so seems correct.
To learn:
You can set players offensive/defensive, and gain 1-2LR with this. You have to let it mach your tactics.
For example: 5-4-1 defensive wall - set as much midfielders as defensive as possible
3-4-3 kick & rush, - set as much midfielders as offensive as possible
4-5-1 passing - set your defenders offensive.
....

Well, for this match I didn't have midfielders for offensive solution. I think I set the aggression correctly (95%) so there was nothing else I could do. Maybe 100%.
He simply had a better lineup.
Thank you for your time mr charlie

Re: Total performance
Setting a midfielder in offensive / defence has a higer impact then an IO.
you gain moren then 1 LR with 2 midfielders in offence
when Segovia and Aquino have +2,8performance together with passing = +/- 0,4 LR
So offensive/defensive is always a must have.
Re: Total performance
I read about it on a Dutch forum and I didn't understand it that way. I will try to reread it.mr charlie wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 9:44 amSetting a midfielder in offensive / defence has a higer impact then an IO.

So offensive/defensive is always a must have.
So for example, player Aquino has Passing +1.28. It adds 0.2 to LR. If put him on offensive it adds 0.75-1 to LR. Second player with on offensive adds 0.5-0.75 to LR. Third adds 0.25-0.5.
And that is all better then only Passing. Now I understand..

I'm slow to understand, but I'm moving forward..

Thanks again.. you are the King
