Wow. Two legends here!
My old and good friend Andrei.g and raoul with the cool logo of Pandas, playing in A division with 60-70 agg team, I still remember those times.

* Fair point about logging in with your email address. We’ll have a look at whether we can also enable logging in with your username. This is exactly the kind of feedback that helps us improve v2.

* We’ll definitely try to be more active from now on. The last downtime was caused by a full disk btw.

* Good point about the average age of the managers. We all started out as youngsters, but that was 20 years ago :-) It’s a risk we’re taking. We don’t want to change too much, but at the same time, we do want to add some exciting new features. It’s a double-edged sword.

* The match engine has been completely rewritten, but the game itself will stay more or less as we all know it.

* Giving a timeline is difficult. We still have a few weeks before the beta starts, and there’s a lot of work left to do. After that, it will depend on how many errors and issues are found during the beta.

* We do have some email addresses, but we have no intention of spamming anyone. It’s hard to know who would be interested in receiving notifications about v2 and who wouldn’t. I guess the people who have been subscribed for the last few years are probably interested.

* No emails were sent. We only asked you to double-check whether your email address was configured correctly.

* I gave you the wrong handle earlier. It’s @Sjarel on X and @SoccerProjectv2 on Instagram.

We keep it that way for balance. Careers must end, or the world fills with old, fully trained squads. Then a new manager can never catch up, the transfer market stops, and youth and scouting lose their value. Squad turnover is what keeps the competition open for everybody.

I think you should do it. One email is not spam.

I feel like 11 seasons of max BP (which is sometimes less than that due to XP taking a long time to get maxed) is not enough. You could do some levels of precocity and longevity to extend that a bit (for example, depending on their precocity and longevity, players could have a longer or shorter peak - say max would be between 19 and 33, while minimum between 20 and 30, like we have now). Scouting would become meaningful, as you would have to actually use your scout to figure out the player's peak. The market will regulate prices, as players with the longest peak (19-33 in my example) would be worth significantly more than those with shorter peak and this would open new possibilities for managers, depending on their budgets and long term plans. Just a thought.

As you are making changes, I would really appreciate it if the league games could be held at least two hours earlier than the current time (4AM). After 22 years, I need my sleep... I’m getting on in years (66), but my spirit remains young because my radio station (Funky Corner Radio) makes me feel like a twenty-year-old. :d
