@rohalt, you should still fight for the 3rd place - againt me_dinamo.

Semifinal games were very interesting again. Right now it's already clear that we will have a new champion, because the current cup holder me_dinamo will only play the bronze medal game. For the first time in SPCL history both finalists are representing the same country and that means, that (also for the first time), Czech team will take a gold - the favorite of the derby is definitely AC Draha Prague. However, Primisimo FC plays very well and they already surprised two teams in the play-off.

AC Draha Prague is the new champion!
Both legs of this season's final were organized earlier today. Czech derby brought a very dramatic battle - but at the end with the expected result. Alghough AC Draha Prague was a big favorite of the game, they needed to fight very hard in both games. First one brought a tactical battle - Primisimo FC came to Prague with a defensive strategy and despite a 2 points lower performance, they got a promising away draw. Home side played also defensive, they definitely didn't want to let Primisimo FC score any away goal. However, for the second game, AC Draha Prague needed to play more offensive and still show their best. This resulted in a similar performance again (146 in both cases) and finally - Burdisso scored the only goal of this battle just before the halftime break. Btw - this was his 9th goal of the season and he now reached Gearey (FK Kabelwerk) on the top of the Top scorer rank. We still need to wait for completion of the Bronze medal games that have not been scheduled yet (most likely they will be completed in the next week) - Amaudov is still just one goal behind leading duo.

Congratulations to the winner! And respect goes to Prim as well, as he shown very consistent and high level performance through all season!

Season 8 is now completed. Similarly as in the Final game, we could see only one goal scored in the bronze medal game. rogiboys surprised the favorite - they kept their best performance for the very end of the season. In the first leg of the season, Belgian team got an important away victory at the stadium of me_dinamo - Masternak scored the winning goal in 74' min. It was a well deserved victory for rogiboys in their best game of the season (147). In the second leg, rogiboys played a defensive style and they defended a goal-less draw. Both sides had few chances, but the goalkeepers saved all of them.
It must be a bit dissapointing for me_dinamo - after winning the title last season, Romanian team was one of the biggest favorites of this season. However in the play-offs they couldn't repeat their top performances from the group stage.

To summarize the season, I am pleased to see a stabilized game quality - the top performances increased a little and they are not far from reaching 150 (best results in season 8 - 148 home and 149 away). We also could see one of the highest wins of the history - and definitely highest since season 2 - in group B, AC Draha Prague won 9:0 away at the stadium of lesbuffalos.

For the third time in a row (and fourth time in total), Czech republic gets two medals - but only this season they finally got a gold! In total, Czech teams collected 11 medals (out of 24). Thanks to another strong season, this country strengthen their leading position in the historical rank. Slovakia still holds the second place, but Netherlands are now just 0,5 point behind.
In the individual team rank, Noldor holds their leading position with 32 points - they only played first four seasons, but since then there is nobody who can beat them in the historical rank! FC Remedy is getting closer every season - but their maximum in last 3 seasons is "just" the Quarterfinal stage and that's not enough to take the lead in historical rank. However, now FC Remedy is just one point behind Noldor, so QF appearance in next season would move them to the first place. On the other hand - FC Remedy is holding a very unique record and I don't see many teams can beat this in near or even far future - they played (all) 8 seasons! The Last Mohycan holds the 3rd place in the historical ranking thanks to their two earlier victories (in their only two appearances). Next two places in the historical rank belong to our latest finalist - FC Primisimo holds 4th position and AC Draha Prague is now 5th!

I would like to thank all managers that participated this season for a very smooth cooperation - this time we had 17 teams representing 10 countries. And also congratulations to the winners!

At the end of current SP season (72), I'll kick-off the 9th season of SPCL - so teams in top 3 divisions (A,B,C) - do your best to get the earliest invitations ;)
