Ofcourse there will be risk...I support that feature,just the managers will be a little more carefull when buying young players and will think over again for the risks when they know that the player they are bidding for might be the so called..."not good enough for a professional career"
Because my idea was...even thou the player isn't good enough for a prof player-he comes to the club...than the manager might sell him...as U said

i think the game needs some more risk. if you train and buy youth players there's not much stpping you from making it to c and d. then if you're clever with tactics you can break through. it would be nice if there was some risk over players careers.
for example, why not add career ending injuries> (leg breaks, dodgy knees, ligaments etc...)?
