More realistic match reports...

Post by lee400 »

Well... all the time, I get bored reading the repetitive match reports...

"X just misses the pass from Y"
"X just misses the pass from Y"
"X just misses the pass from Y"
"X just misses the pass from Y"
"X just misses the pass from Y"
GOAL!
"X just misses the pass from Y"
"X just misses the pass from Y"
"X just misses the pass from Y"
END

Boring, and I do not get the real feeling of looking back at the match. Even when I watch "Match of the Day" on BBC, based on Premiership, I feel nervous, happy, regretting, and unfair.

To make the match reports more fun to read, and to make us feel like real managers, how about including some things like;

"Oh a dive in the penalty box... And its a penalty for Team X! It was not a penalty, but it is given!"

"Oh a bad tackle in the penalty box, and it is not given!!! That should have been a penalty!!!"

"AND THATS IN!!! 1-0!!! NO! OFFSIDE!"

"Thats a bad tackle from player XXX... I believe that will be a yellow card... AND ITS A RED! That is undeserved!"

And more... If the soccerproject developer (sjarel) would be interested in this, I would not mind writing out hundreds of these to add to the game and make it even better... :D

Any comments? This is open to thepublic to comment on... And I won't be rude like I was last time lol...

Damn good idea mate. How about managers make up some lines and the X best of them will be inserted in the game? Would be nice!

yeah that would be cool!

but sometimes the translators screw the orginal meaning with the sentences by making them quite similar..

Great idea mate... I stopped reading the match reports because they were getting too boring and too... well, not identical, but very similar one to another.

Thumbs up! :D

Adding more lines seems very simple, but they'd have to be translated into all languages. And I can assure you the translators already have a hell of a job ...
