Would it be difficult to make the menu icon of the message blinking, while there is a new unreaded message in the box ? I think it wouldn't be, it could have the same coding as a blinking icon in the mailbox ...

I don't think that is something every managers wants and it will be very irritating to some managers.

Ok and would it be possible to send me - via mail f.e. - what has to be done for this message blinking ? My friend will add this for those managers who want blinking message..

This would imply giving every manager the option to make that choice, that will not be implemented for now.

Of course, if you would not let the 2nd icon blink, but just have another color, it would be possbile.

That is second option. WHen you have some unreaded message, the icon will be for example yellow as it was in old layout of SP and acompanied with *
