i still think that the developers should reduce the time taken to sell a player. not extend it.

I see at least these problems with this new system:
1) you risk to waste a lot of time to try to buy a player, and that's really frustrating
2) it'll be more difficult for the new managers to buy good players. This new system is better for those who have a lot of money.
3) you don't know when you're gonna your teamspirit, and this can be a problem if you have to play important matches
4) last but not least: it's a big contradiction. I like this game a lot because it's really fast, not like Hattrick, which can be really really slow. You play 5 games per week and you could need 1 month to buy a player: isn't it a bit strange?

1) what about if this happened......

at the moment we bid and arrange wages at the same time and regardless of whether we will actually be successful.

What if you bid for a player. Then waited for your bid to be successful. This way the selling team would have to accept more than one bid, just incase one team cannot negotiate a contract.

This would increase competition and help everyone bid. Also teams could sell quicker as they would have to.

2) Even if this never happens I just hope they make transfers quicker (maybe 3 or 4 days instead of 7/8).

3) Wouldn't it be better also if arranged transfers (say if me and rubens agree ona player and price). Then they could be sold straightaway.

you could shorten the 2 day initial period to 1 day and shorten transfer time to 5 days instead 10.

also make another option for transfers - a Dutch auction - after price is set, it decreases every day by some fixed ammount, and whoever bids current price gets the player right away, that could make transfers quicker *if* the price is set right.

I thought the transfer last 8 days.
Well both of your ideas are contrary to each other.

The second one wont be that usefull because it would help cheaters to buy player fasters and some people will put this price as 0 and everyone will get the player.
I am still thinking that the best way is an exact transfer time like 23:32 and extend the line like 30 min after 1 bid in the last 5 min.

faster or slower it is still cheat ...

the price 0, you forgot the initial 1 day time, so everyone can bid 0 and the player will join for higher wages

p.s. and stop that mass selling of ALL players of a team, it's obvious cheating.

so what? the idea of this thread is to bring up some ideas! not prove who's right.

anyway cheaters why be about regardless of how long it takes to sell players. thats why you can only buy 1 per team every 2 seasons etc...

the problem as stated earlier is that you can play 4/5 games before selling a player. and a few people on this board feel that the game would benefit from a quicker sale.

Maybe the dev's could add a "time" option so rubens can put his players on the market for longer?

what about setting a price for an automatic sale. so you could say start bids at 500k but will accept 750k straightaway? that would help.

That was said by jkminov!
I am not agree. Then everybody will offer that price and other managers will not have the oportunity of buy them
Also you can cheat with at least 1 player. Put 100 $ as the max bid and its yours:S

why worry about cheating thats what the devs are there for! all the devs would need to do is set a minimum price like 500k.
