i agree....sp cup its just doesnt make sense after being here for a while....: BIG BOYS WILL WIN IT.(AT LEAST GIVE SOME PRIDE FOR A SMALLER TEAM)

this is my suggestion
1) division a, b and c CUP.
2) division d and e CUP
3) division f and g CUP

next GROUP2) champion will play GROUP3) champion, as they will be more competetive this way.the winner of this then will meet the champion of 1)the winner will have the title of SP CUP.....(THE SMALLER DIV. WILL BE HAPPY TO FIELD THEIR BEST LINE UP..)
....by doing this sp will motivate smaller clubs to at least strive in their lower league..if this current sytem does not change im sorry to say theres a lot of manager, including me let their team to lose in the 1st round.cos we knew we wont go far.if sp ignore this then just let the sp cup only for DIV A ,B AND C...cos i have done my home work only this division can hold the sp CUP....so if you guyz dont care, the cup is nothing to the manager of D DIVISION AND BELOW....IM SAYINHG THIS SO THAT SP CUP IS FOR EVERYBODY....TO TRY....(even small club will say,"at least i hold the title of div f and g CUP."that will be a happy ending.

the point of this is sp cup is for big boys only....think of the lower div.... if not ,dont bother to let the lower division play...cos majority are not interested....current system....
My Long term goal is to b in A Division....
My short term goal is the same:)

i am in f but i wouldn't say i try to lose because i'll never win the cup. it is handy for team spirit after all. so if you get a good run of lower division teams then it helps.

however, if i get drawn against a much higher team then i probably won't play my best team as the league is more important.

as ezzyezzy says it would be better to have more cups to involve every team. have a stronger cup for the better teams and other cups for e,f and g teams. this would also help shake things up as you tend to meet the same teams every season anyway.

e team

Well that he´s first after 2 league games doesn´t mean he will stay that way.
But yeah you´re right you don´t have a chance playing an E team if you are in G.
And your proposition about a G cup is cool. But there have to be 3 group rounds, cause there are too many G teams. About 800, I believe.

And I also agree with robbo. There have to be an A B C Cup. E and F. and G

i dont agree . i have a team in g 147 . and i have play aginst a e team and i have win 3 - 0 in a half final friendly cup

If you're going to organise seperate cups, don't organise them by league. There are some teams in E and F that are as good as some teams in B or C.

Seperate cups would have to be organised by the rating of the teams. For example, a cup for teams rated <60%, 60-70% and >70%

But then there are some teams with large numbers of youth and/or player in training with lower ratings that their first and second strings would suggest. ;) Also leagues would be easier to work out numbers wise I imagine since they have set numbers at each level, hence a single set of groups/brackets can be worked out beforehand and always applied whereas with rating it would be constantly shifting. (not to mention team rating changing over time, teams could starts and sub 60 and reach 70+ over the course of a season)

thats a good result, but have you checked to see if the other team played an understrength team? maybe he couldn't be bothered to win?

the rating can be a little misleading; so i would say that manager ranking (points) are a better to judgement for teams.

i think the sp cup should start with a group phase like in the champions league and world cup then you might have a better chance

My proposal about the SP-Cup: I would like it to be as in real life so:

First all the G teams play matches against themselves, while all other teams don't play. Then the F-leaguea managers join and the next round is drawn between F-teams and winners, and so on. A-teams have to play the fewest games and have the biggest chances. But that's how it is "outside the Matrix" :P ... and to be honest, when was the last time in real life, when a B-team took the Cup, and how often does that happen? So, of course it's (almost) impossible for a G-team to win the cup, but that's not the point. The point is to get as far as you can and to fight :-D. I got to the second round ( :( )where I lost on penalties with a C team. And I am very happy about it, even if I assume he didn't play his best team. That's how I'm seeing it...

May as well just hand the cup to the best A team then, and lest the rest of us save our players' fitness.
