Why not simply let managers choose nationality of youth?

I don't think that in real life, a French Youth Scout can only find French players. Depends on where you send him. I meant that it's MORE realistic than the current system in which one can already pick a youth player's nationality. If you want a discussion on this detail, be my guest, but I think it would be more useful if you commented on the idea as a whole.

i agree but you didn't say that!
sending your scouts to certain countries and each country has a varying degree of success would be a decent improvement. i just oppose being able to select your choice from a drop down box as it makes it too simple.

i have not read through this topic because it was too much to read. so just shout if it have been suggested before.
i think we should be able to send our scout to a country. then 50% of the youth players come from the youth centre (which is placed in the same country as the manager), and 50% percent comes from the selected country. (the scout finds suitable players for the team in the selected country)

I've given it some thought and i think you're right. Maybe it's just too simple.robborover wrote:i agree but you didn't say that!

The only thing I really want to say is this:
Getting youth players of your own nationality should be standard.
I support the option to choose other nationalities, the current system allows that. Great. But it shouldn't be an extra hassle as it is now.

It is really that hard to look a few days for a Youth coordinator from which country you want?
Why should the programers change a newly improvement just because you and a few here can't look for what he wants.
If you want youths from your country get a YC from your country.
I think it's very hard for you to do this.
You've probably survived SP in more complicated situations, and now you cant manage the YC.
It's a rule. Why change it? ...Manage it.
