I have a suggestion:

when you offer a contract, the age should be also a parameter.

Example:

- a new player of 85%, 100% morale asks when you offer a contract
for 3 years:
a contract value of 9344 (can be the salary)

around a match performance of 65 to 68

everybody knows that a field player that's 31 years of older,
there global performance is lower!

So I suggest:

- players from 31 years (performance between 62 to 65)

asks a contract of a player with that performance (around 82 - 83%)
-> a contract value of 7000


- players from 32 years (performance between 59 to 62)

asks a contract of a player with that performance (around 78 - 79%)
-> a contract value of 4500

- players from 32 years (performance between 59 to 62)

asks a contract of a player with that performance (around 74 - 75%)
-> a contract value of 3000

The result would be that older players are paid to their actual performance in stead of their possible best performance.

It would make that some older players can stay longer at their club.

I agree with the principle of older players accepting contracts of lesser value - I don't know about the mechanics of it, but it would reflect real life better. I don't think Teddy Sheringham got as good an offer lately as in his heyday at Man Utd.

But in general, yeah they do go down.

Yes that's true,

but then the decreasing of the performance schould be reviewed.
So that a player is still making good performances when he's older than
30 years.
