Talkerbee status

Could you please set the default status on talkerbee to "invisible"? Or make it remember the last status you had before logging off... It's really unpleasant when I log in only for 5 minutes to check something and everybody starts sending messages. It kind of turns me into a rude person who doesn't answer and I don't like that.

I was just going to open a thread requesting this.

I don't like talking to people while I sort out my team. It's a nice feature, great work from the staff, but I personally won't use it at all, If I need to speak to someone, I'll message them my msn.

A good way to fix this is to setup an option to always sign-in invisible.

Of course it's a fair request, but I'm wondering how many times you do get contacted ? I'm asking since it's not that often for me and I would think my name is just as well-known as yours on SoccerProject ;-)

They don't send player offers to you on talkerbee 'cause they're afraid you will ban them
Seriously now, I usually have a chat every 15-20 minutes when I am logged on and I don't mind it, it's just that sometimes you don't have the time for it.

Ok, now I see the difference. People know you sometimes have time and start to talk to you because they don't know if you're available or not.

i noticed that when you minimize a talker bee window, it only appears in the upper right part of the window, a text indicating the number of conversations, and if somebody answers that became bold, without bothering you. of course, it bothers first time they start a conversation, but with a click on minimize it's solved.
I prefer also to use messages then talkerbee to answer to people (usually i'm asked different things about SP) but i talk with friends i use talkerbee.
What i would like to be improved is: when i have more tabs opened for SP, and somebody starts a conversation, it appears in all the SP tabs :) and i'm answering in one, i navigate to the 2nd and i get the answer there, but not in the first one :)
I think it should open only in one, and talk only in one tab. so all the conversation is there.

Would be good to be able to put certain rude managers on ignore - to get rude PM's is annoying - but to be sent rude chat as soon as you logon - well that just sucks.

I received the first spam yesterday through the chat, I was online on talkerbee for about 3 seconds after I logged in.

Can't we have an option to disable it? I won't use it at all.

I have been told, that once you put yourself invisible, TalkerBee will remember it, and nobody will bother you anymore, whilst you can bother others.

Isn't it a wonderful world here?

I don't think so, it works fine here. (It is browser specific, so if you set yourself invisible in IE, and log in with Firefox afterwards, you have to set it there too)

I always log in in firefox. If I log out and then log in again, without closing the browser, it's ok, the status remains. If I close the browser, when I log in I am always available. It shouldn't be browser-based, it should be user-based.

ffs, you are right. I'll get this fixed asap.
It's not possible to make it user based, since the only history we have is a cookie, and cookies are browser specific. We can't access the SP-database as TalkerBee developers to store variables there... I know that's not your problem, but it might explain why some things work the way they do (or should do)...

It should be fixed now.
