Sometimes friendly cups last forever, over ten days before the next match, because a team has a lot of invitations for friendly games which are not accepted. This is mostly to block time slots.
I suggest that a friendly cup game will overrule a friendly game which has not been accepted.
Just like invitations for pool games. Every team has the opportunity to block 10 time slots; if you don't want to play, you use it. Accepted games will not be influenced. Friendly cups can be played in a shorter period. It will also be more fair to those teams who don't have (many) open friendly invitations.
