Simulation / Availablity on welcome screen

Would it be possible to add a server status indicator on the front page of soccerproject? ie "Server: Up", "Server: Simulating (estimated 5 minutes remaining)" etc.
This would be a convenience for managers as they would not have to log in to find the status (simulating).
Apologies if this has already been suggested.

This is a small good adjustment, I think.

I agree, small adjustment that is very useful.
However, sometimes, you can also see whether soccerproject is back online after the simulation on the far right on the top of your screen. It says there:
Online/ Active Managers : 170/ 29928 - Season 28 [1/63] - 28 Feb 2009 -
When the first part about 'Online/ Active Managers : 170/ 29928' is not there, the simulation is still running. When the simulation is done, after 1, 2 or 3 minutes (I don't know exactly), this comes up and you will know that soccerproject is back online by looking at that line.

We discussed this option when we introduced the new layout, but decided not to implement this because of some technical issues.
