New transfer market rules

Post by alex ferguson »

I usually agree with every change the devs make, but the last one about the market left me disappointed.
This new system creates never-ending bids, which are really annoying.
In my opinion there should be a limit to the number of day in which a player is on the market.
It would be better returning to the old system and introducing an "extra-time" day if there is a bid in the last day.
But then, after the "extra-time" day, the player is sold.
In this way you give another chance to the managers interested in a player, and you even avoid never-ending bid-wars.
I know that with system we still would have the "last-minute" bids problem, but it's always better than the never-ending bids.

IMHO the new transfer market system can be really dangerous for SP; I've heard about several managers who want to leave SP because of this new system.

I agree with alex ferguson...
This endless market is so useless..in this way the ability of a manager to discover a player decreases and most of all I think that in this way richer teams are favourite because they have money enough to support endless market...

I too agree with alex ferguson. I understand why the changes were implemented, but the endless bidding is worse. I think there should be atleast a 2 day maximum for bidding to carry over, but then its just tough luck if you get outbid in the last minutes.

We will be evaluating the system of course and if it turns out players stay on the list too long, we might make another change.

Personally I feel every manager has the chance to raise the offer high enough, just to make sure there won't be endless bidding, remember you always have to raise at least 5%. I agree that it will be harder to find real bargains, but players will now be sold closer to their real market value (called free market) and of course every manager sells players now and then too in which case he might profit from this.

i'm sorry for my english.

I want to say that with this system of transfers, the users who he sel the player can choose when to sell, to who to sell above all and to that price!

Example: I want to make a favor to B? I come to an agreement to me on a price, bottom, and hardly it offers sells it the player.

Moreover hour, not being us more expiration, the bid can also last to the infinite.

IMHO must give fixed expiration to the auction, of in more of in less, like on ebay!

But not to the 4 of morning, when little customers are connected!

Who sells chooses the hour of the end of the bid, like hattrick or other games!

I don't see how the new rule can make it easier to make cheap deals. It has always been possible to make deals, but every manager has the possibility to make a bid on each player during at least two days.

Believe it or not, but there has been a Dutch topic about this (of more than 10 pages) and in the end, the conclusion was: this system will do for now.

And about the quitting managers: I have heard tons of responses to this new transfermarket, and I heard a lot more positive than negative reactions.
And if you can't adapt yourself to SP, if you can't find an honest way (I don't call bidding higher just before 4.00 AM honest  ) to attract players for a good price, then you are in the right position to say : "I can't manage it."

By the way : if the system is indeed not good, there will be changes automatically...

Not that "automatically". As YOU said the system was bad before and it takes a lot to make changes.
Plz ppl stop thinking about just belg¡um, that 4:00 am is just there. Indeed is bad that if you are online at the moment you can sell the player and you just bid more in the last 2 min you get the player. So we need to extend this line. But an entire day is not a good solution. Maybe we want an unic game. But everygame is that a game and some are of soccers some sells players etc. So i dont see a problem to do a transfer market as the Hattrick one. I have seen a lot of transfers market and that is the best. We can extend the line like 2 hours because we are less people. But making a player obligatory to sell at sometime that isnt 4:00 am simulation would be better.

Then everybody will put their players at 22:00 of Belgium maybe and it would be an strategy etc. But making a transfer now takes too long and you dont know when you will lose TS.

I've said it before hidden bids the last 2 days. Only the buyer knows what he bets. The seller won't know it and can not accept anymore. Also punishment for the seller with 20% of manager fee or something like that. So does he take the risk?

I think that a right solution could be giving a limit of two or three days after the exstimated time of transfer, then if other managers bid the last day, there colud be a blind bid of a day between the 2 or 3 managers with the best offerts. This could be an intermediate way to stop endless market but also to avoid last-time bid!!!
