More Friendly Cup options (Perhaps SPFA feature)
Unless I'm blind for private cups our only option is adding teams to our contacts and then inviting them. Surely something like a form where we could specify some criteria and invite all managers that fit would be useful. (Perhaps limit the invitations to a certain number to save server load, ie "You have invited too many teams, please narrow your criteria")
Things like At least/only/below/between:
Division
Position (In said division if only one)
Team rating
last log in date
Country (good way to meet those who speak your language)
Cup wins
Manager rating
etc.
It would make things infinitely easier when organising a cup. (For example when organising a division G cup, just one of the above factors, it took me a long while to trawl through online/active managers to get enough to invite that would actually accept)

good idea. i think there need to be filters throughout the game (inc. transfer list!).

Thought I'd bump this again. Seeing a lot of cups lately with "Division G and H only" and such, yet when you look and who enters them you find a division B, C or D team (Or a few, with plenty of F and E) more often that not.
Having set criteria for entering would really be a boon given there's no chance for a H division side to even Beat a G side. (Even if it is a simple as settting divisions for a cup at first)

They are not all like you. Some of them enter the cups because they can win all the matches, and the cup.modes98's revenge wrote:lol i entered a G and H only cup last night, but with good intentions. I am playing my youth team in all Cups now and they can beat H teams but aren't as good with g teams.
You have to consider more than the division in some cases.
I'm from the Romanian forum and we also disscused about the division selection when we organize a friendly cup.
Some of us discused and decided that this is a good ideea and it should be implemented in the game.
If you all agree with this we should talk to sjarel.
If you not agree then tell us why?

Wouldn't this encourage spamming ?
Imagine a manager could invite all H-teams... I bet every manager would get at least 1 and prolly more invitations each day.

SoccerProject: Can you manage it ?
Thanks for the response Sjarel.
Indeed would encourage spamming, hence my thoughts on limiting it so your selection can only have 250 odd invites, but still would be too much and load the server rather a lot. Changed my thoughts somewhat to a better option, (See my secdond post above) if filters were in place to set some parameters for the cup the system from the first post wouldn't be necessary.
You could just leave the cup public, set it to say F/G/H only and let it fill knowing you'll only get the managers you want. (No need to invite anyone) Don't need much more than simply a division filter really I'd think. (Keep things simple)
Also I'd imagine making it a SPFA feature would leave plenty of cups for higher division clubs to enter, as non-SPFA members couldn't set any limits for public cups. May also increase SPFA membership wjhich is always a plus.
So In nutshell just a division filter option for SPFA members making cups.

I agree, a division-filter would be nice when organizing a Cup. Higher teams entering G/H-cups for the money is just lame
.
I think a filter would also make SP nicer for the lower teams, they can win some nice money in cups that is otherwise taken away by higher teams. It'll give the lower divisions some financial advantage again, which would be fine by me.
Also, with a filter, the cups can have cooler names again, instead of "H only cup" "G/H only please Cup" etc

but not fair...modes98's revenge wrote:You could do what i used to do, which is just add loads of H or G league teams to your contact list and then invite them all to a private cup. It's hard work but worth it.

Oh, I saw one of your low cost cups, when you won 2.8M playing against H-G teams
