Soccer Project betting system

Hi there,
A substantial part of real soccer world is betting on match results.
Wouldn't it be fun to have similar betting system also in Soccer Project?
Players could bet their SP money on various match results and potentially win some SP money for their team (to buy a new goalie for example)
Because this could bring a lot of cheating and swindles (as we know it from Czech soccer

) and also a lot of extra calculations to the server, I'd recommend to limit matches that everybody can bet on to A division only.
Simply, everybody from 20000 SP players could bet his team money on result of any match in A division and possibly also on winner of SP Cup (plus cup final and semifinal matches?).
Only owners of division A teams would be excluded from this to avoid loosing matches for money (and also because their teams are phucking rich anyway...

)
Betting rates would be created probably by SP creators or some sophisticated AI routine?

It sounds nice, but it has nothing to do with managing a team.
So I vote against this idea...

I'm on the fence on this. It does add an extra level of skill to money making, and if the winnings came entirely from the entrys, minus a set amount (say 20%) it would be a good money sink as well. Simplist way to implement it would be take all the bets and divide them amoung the winners on a scale based on how much they bet. Minus the set fee which SP takes out. Rather simple than some long equation to work out odds.
Problems could arise in many managers making silly bets skewing the result/winnings. (Take this further, perhaps a group of managers with multiple IPs making many, many teams and making sure to skew them their favour)
Furthermore it really dosen't model real life, at least not to a realistic extent.
I would most definately be in favour of a betting/predicting system just for "prediction points". Sort of like a prediction league that is a rather common thing (Looks at all the fantasy football/prediction leagues out there!)..... but then you don't need it implemented in the game for that. (But it would be far simpler to implement than actual betting)
Plus it would mean anyone could have a chance to be the best in something, from H to A.
Nice to see someone thinking outside the box for a change at least.

It's a real funny idea, but i think it has to be perfected before you can implement it.
For instance: how about a good B-manager who decides to stay in the B division so he can get lots of extra money, instead of competing in the A-division?
For that reason, i think there should be a maximum on the betting amount. maybe 25.000 per match-day? That's a 750.000 bet per season.
I like Arkzein's idea on putting all the money on one big heap (per game), and just dividing it amongst all the winners. It's the fairest way, and i don't see any real flaws in it.
It eliminates the problem of FC-teams (everybody bets against the FC-team, and everybody wins 1.00001 times the bet) and also cheating would be almost pointless, because you can't influence the ratio much with 20000 SP-gamblers
I wonder if this will ever happen, but you have my vote

Nice idea, but please, bad idea with real SP-money, you can better give every SP-manager a 1000 'betting points', they can be setted in at a match (max 200 / game) . But only one problem: Cheating with this!
Can you solve it?

Cheating:
You bet 10M on your friend that he lose and he sets his D-squad on the field...

yeah shame they took that away. still you can have 32 teams * 50k entry fee modes.

I hope they make up the difference with higher amounts of cash in league play. Talented teams probably made good money off the bigger FrC's.
It seems all these changes are leading towards having the top teams only being very slightly better and more profitable than G and F league teams. On that note, I wonder what percentage of subscribers renew, if they're only marginally better as a C league team than they were 6 months before as an E league team? But I'm going off topic.
Anyway, with betting I'm against the change. Not just opportunity for cheating, but if you have thousands of owners who can only bet on A league teams, then it will subject the A league owners to all kinds of idiotic spam.

Bad idea.
You thing dudes in A division won't cheat? Well, it's just a stupid idea. Just make the layout prettier instead of doing stuff like this.

what d you think about betting on 12 random games like in real life?
example:
home | draw | away | Odds
team 1 - team 2 H 2.30 - 1.20
team 3- team 4 D 1.30 - 1.45
team 5- team 6 H 1.80 - 4.40
team 7- team 8 A 3.10 - 1.50
team 9- team 10 A 4.20 - 1.70
and soo on...
Four top clashes from A, two from B, One from C, One from the lower leagues + one random game. 12 gives a nice sum wich is total calculated from the odds and your bet, 11 right gives 50% from the odds calculated with your bet, 10 right gives 25% from the odds calculated with your bet..

I would support this, if there was some way that we could hide the names of the teams... showing only the past performances of the starting players.
I would NOT want my team to be one of the ones being bet on.
I'm telling you... right now I'm selling a RB, rated 80. I've had about 5 different morons writing me telling me to sell him immediately. Personally I hate when people do that... but whatever, I just ignored them... we all go through that.
So during this bidding, I had maybe 15 owners consider getting my player. Now imagine if 2500 owners were betting on my team. How many E-mails do you think I would get? 200? 500?
It's just something to think about. It's a good idea in principle but we don't want to make this an aggravation for people.
If this will be added, personally I'd rather do a SP cup thing, where we bet who will win the cup. I envision it with us first getting odds when the SP cup gets down to 128 teams, and the odds on new bets adjusting every week as the number of teams get lower.
After all, no-one who is in the running to win the SP cup is going to play anything other than their best players.
