Incomes friendlies

Post by nesvada »

well my suggestion is when you invite someone for a friendly match you can either choose how much money is going to your oppent (ticketsale) with a minimum of 10% so lower ranked players won't be afraid to lose their "precious" money or incomes of the ticketsale will be 50% each

This way teams with small amount of fans will still make a bit of profit.

(sorry if this is confusing, im not so concentrated now so my english aint so good, tired ...)

i agree. there should be more incentives given to play away friendly games. because there is no income from away games and most of the time, if not all the time you lose money, hardly anybody wants to play away games other then players new or don't know better.
a higher percentage should be allocated to the away team (eg. 60 - 40 split).
or at least to break even.

It's not worth bothering with. Everyone would set the visiting team amount to the minimum.

I might be wrong, but I think the opposite... that it's a common newbie mistake to turn down friendlies, not to accept them. I accept all friendlies... I play them to keep my youth players morale and experience up, and I couldn't care less if I win or make money.

How much do you make from friendly games, anyway? IMO player experience and morale is much more important than the pittance I'd make from drawing 850 fans, or something. The money from that probably barely pays for the wear and tear on your field.

hi paul, your are very likly to be right about this. the more players you got, the harder it is to keep their moral up as well as gaining experience. playing too many home games has got a bad effect on your pitch and it does cost a bit to replace them.
it would be nice if you could at least break even for an away game.

I don't know.. it could be I'm wrong as a lot of people won't play away friendlies for the reasons you state. But it's easy to check... how much did you make off your last home friendly? And how much were stadium costs?

I forgot to mention before, each home game also costs you stadium maintenance costs which increase as your stadium gets more elaborate. My stadium seats 40,000, so it might be a home friendly would actually cost me money... not earn it.

well for you guys it doesnt matter ( doesnt matter to me either)

i get a profit of 15.000 when i play at home (costs included)
thats more then i get from publicity but i dont care bout that either

but for newbies its nice to get bit more money cause when some higher ranked person invites them they think, darn i am gonna lose the match and money so no thx. this way they are certain they get something in return.

so everyone wins, like you guys dont care bout that amount of money but about moral. and the new ppl care about the money :)
