More ranks in forum posts?
As I can see the person with the 10000 posts got same rank as one with 2000.
I think there should be more various ranks around 40 or so...

Neither the post count or forum rank is being shown to avoid spamming

Yes it is, if you go to memberlist up this page, you sort by total posts and you can check.

Yeh, their making spamming threads such as 'football snake' in all the forums to get more posts. The real respect lies in the join date!

We know that, but it isnt visible on the surface. I wont check everybodys profile to know how many posts they got!

That's why we (on the Dutch forum) have forbidden those spam-posts. Because we had a 'player's snake', 'team's snake' and a '3-word story'. All full of spam and only a few members who were posting.

That's why there are moderators though, just give those spammers two warnings and then immediately delete.
I don't think that's worth deleting the ranks and amount of posts you've written.
They should rather be shown like in many other games.

I will give my answer through these questions:
Why it is in human nature to compete in everything?
Is it matters how many posts someone puts here?

Another problem that we had on the Dutch forum was that members with lots of posts would give newbies a bad attitude just because they were new.
Taking away the number of posts has certainly helped in normalizing behaviour there I think.
Too bad, I love numbers and ranks, but apparently we're not mature enough to have them

Oke, here is the resume.
I count "I don't care" as a blanco vote so it will be counted towards the position with most votes.
Results until now are.
People that want it to stay. 69%
People that want ranks and amounts of posts visible under your forum image. 21%
Other ideas. 8%
