I think just a ban is fine. It will teach them a lesson.

I think this idea has a point,

If a manager has been playing this game for example 1 year and a half, and then he makes a mistake, which costs him a ban and his team, he loses 1year and a half work + his gaming appetite...

But when a manager that just started gets a ban, it's most likely he will start over and read the rules before doing something...

Where if a manager playing one year and a half and get's a fine in stead of a ban, he might just continue the game after reading the rules


So you could connect punishments on the ammount of time they spent on the game, to make sure they continue playing, but of course if someone really cheats, a ban is the only option...

I don't think you need to make a special schedule for these types of judgements, but I do believe a yellow-red card option seems very useful..
Just some brainstorming:
For minor violations: Yellow card
- which sets a limit to the transfers (or even block transfers?) for the rest of the season in case of a manager who did suspicious transfers
- which unables the ability to join in Friendly Cups for the rest of the season in case of a manager who played tricks on managers in a friendly cup.
- Which blocks the ability of putting stadium boards in case of messing with the links.
- ...
For severe violations: Red card (= two yellows)
- Just ban :P

Yellow then always comes with a sort of punishment. Or go the mental way: Give the manager a yellow transfer card so everyone can see he is not to be trusted. 8)
Anyway, I think the sheriffs would have much more fun doing their job if there was a grade of punishments to give, and their fingers on the buttons to decide which punishment it will be. :)

I gotta say.. I get the feeling we'd get a superiority complex coming on with the sherrifs :P.. (gods of the SP punishment :P)
