There is no free market when you already know who wins the auction. When a government official organizes an auction for a certain contract and he decides to choose "a friend", it is called corruption (in both Western and Eastern Europe).

I said that before, but I will repeat. HoeseltVV knowingly acted against the interest of its own club in order to give an advantage to another manager. This is called abusive behavior and has never been allowed in the game.

This is not the same. One of the "features" of SP is that you win more money for your club when you lose some games. So those managers actually act in their own interest. The sheriffs discussed this problem long time ago and the decision was that, although unfair-play, this is not against the rules. If you have another opinion and some decent arguments, I will be happy to read it.

As I explained on this topic, selling players for relatively low prices is usually not punished, because it is very hard to prove any intention. Some managers might need money very fast, some managers might not know the real value of the players. In this case, intention was clear (at least from the part of HoeseltVV).

But let's all be honest, aren't you guys not just pissed because of the fact that we(dutch/belgians) won 3 A titles in a row and if you didn't have stopped him now it would have been more than 3 ?

I am being honest, I never calculated this. If this would have been the goal, the easiest thing would have been not to ban pandy, as he would have surely ended this "great" spell of Belgian dominance. Because, as you say, let's be honest, this case is much more clear than that one. So basically in your eyes it was ok when Raffin took advantage of a borderline decision in a case where there was no financial gain for one of the teams, but now he is a victim when he abuses another manager...

He is not an cheater. He did get an punishment because czech and slovak people aks a ban. If sjarel banned him sp would be a joke and alot dutch and belgium persons would leave. And yes dutch and belgium persons get banned also if they really cheat. And that is normal because we all want a fair game.

Anyway, I also want to state my point of view about the case:
fact: Raffin and Hoesselt had contact about these 3 players before.
fact: Raffin and Hoesselt made a deal that the players would be transfered to Raffin exclusively
fact: Making deals is not forbidden, as long as the transferprice is according to the market.

I agree with these facts. But, in this case, the price was largely under the market value.

fact: Raffin and Hoesselt never talked about the prices. Raffin is not interested in prices, because he has far enough money, so price is not an issue for Raffin.

Taking into account the price of the players and the budget of team FC Raffin, I can assure you that the financial gain was proportionally very important for manager Raffin. So this is false.

fact: So there has never been a PRIZE-deal.

And this we can not know.

The first 3 days on the transfermarket are meant to give anyone the chance to make a bid on players. Why was the prize after 3 days not already a good marketprize? Managers which were interested in these 3 players failed here. If you want a player, always make sure you have the highest (market-related) bid!

Other managers put bids. Raffin raised them just 10 minutes before his offers got accepted, so there was not much time for others to do the same thing. It is not realistic to say that price in 3 days should have reached the normal price. Why didn't Raffin offer something close to the normal price than? I mean, he even knew he is going to get the players, so why not directly go to the normal price?

But what could Raffin do about that? Hoesselt accepted his bids, while Raffin wasn't interested in the prize...

He should have made a report instantly. Not spend 24h posting on the forum and then, when he saw pupajdi's message and the reactions on this topic, send an email to Sjarel.

So in my opinion Raffin is innocent

Manager Raffin broke the rules by not reporting the transfers. So he is not innocent. Maybe it was not his intention, but he did not respect the rules.

Hoesselt made a mistake, so he deserves a punishment. I feel like a ban is a too harsh punishment, but I'm not a sheriff, and they decide...

As I explained, there were other cases in the past when managers acted against their own team and they got banned. The discussion on alternative penalties is open, and it would be great hearing your opinion.
