It's always nice to read the opinion of the Czech community
Your discussion shows me once again that I am too strict with my decisions (I would have totally banned them). It also shows me that managers want a certain diversity in the penalties we apply, not only the bans we are currently using (or used until recently). But I will say here what I also said on the sheriff forum: I invite all those who want to give these customized penalties to do it themselves. As a manager I totally understand you, but as a sheriff I spend my lunch break writing emails and messages to managers, and some evenings I go home and neglect my family to answer emails. I'm not complaining, I decided to accept this position when Sjarel asked and I will probably do it until my wife decides to leave me because of this... But using customized penalties, where for every case I would have to calculate fines, to invent new stupid penalties like "you have to fire the players you bought by cheating", to write messages to every manager (right now we are only giving feed-back to banned managers who write us first, but when you apply a fine, you absolutely have to write a message to the manager and explain), all this will increase by 10 the time dedicated to handling cases. And all this for what? For managers who think it is ok to buy a player from a friend a then sell him back? They can learn that for their new account, if they want one, or they can go and try to do things like that in real life, see how it goes...
This brings me to something Martin said on the sheriff forum and now I see it came from here: "If it is not explicitly forbidden, than it is ok". This is not a civil code, the rules of this game are not laws... It's only an on-line game, and the single rule should be "you have to show fair-play". Martin wants to make an exhaustive list of rules... I find that time consuming and dangerous. If we make a list with all the cheating schemes we saw as sheriffs, this would only be a bibliography for new cheaters who will create schemes even harder to detect. And plus, I think it's useless. We all know what is fair and what is not. We are all competing against each other and we look with admiration at a good trader who spends hours looking for cheap players. And we all know how it feels when our opponent in the league buys 3 great players under the market value, how it feels when he has two accounts and manages to get a player from one of his accounts to another (either directly or helped by a friend), how it feels when he has similar players but with 10 more experience points than us because he bought those experience points through transactions with his friends. So we all know what is ok and what is not ok, we don't need lists telling us that it is ok to spend hours looking for new managers to invite them in your friendly cup (it is normal that spending more time on the website playing the game gives you an advantage) , but it is not ok to create 10 accounts on another PC and invite them for friendlies. We all know it is ok if you find a manager who set a very low instant price for a player and buy him (you invest time looking for the player, you are lucky), and it is not ok if you buy players cheaply from a friend. So where is the need for such a list? To see what is not allowed and do something at the limit? To invent a scheme previously unknown? I don't see any good coming out of this.
And I have a last point I wanted to share with you. Please stop asking for automatic checks and stuff like that, there is no one to implement them. Sure, it would be great to have the game automatically denying this kind of ping-pong with players. But that is not a solution, at least not right now, as there is no one writing code for the game...

If there will not be "Raffin" case, I will write +1 and respect to your time and approach .... but due that case it is now just "nice bla bla bla" as you want to ban one manager while the other did more worse un-fair and nothing...Razvanica wrote: ...

I asked for Raffin's ban 3 times and I would ban him myself today if the majority of the sheriffs would agree...PaTTTTrick wrote:If there will not be "Raffin" case, I will write +1 and respect to your time and approach .... but due that case it is now just "nice bla bla bla" as you want to ban one manager while the other did more worse un-fair and nothing...
The fact that I presented here on the forum "the general opinion" of the sheriffs is another thing. Although I do not agree with that decision, it is a decision taken by a majority of sheriffs and my role is to support it.

I spoke it in general way, not personally to you... but as you said -> it was majority decision, so all sherifs are affected by this decision...Razvanica wrote:I asked for Raffin's ban 3 times and I would ban him myself today if the majority of the sheriffs would agree...PaTTTTrick wrote:If there will not be "Raffin" case, I will write +1 and respect to your time and approach .... but due that case it is now just "nice bla bla bla" as you want to ban one manager while the other did more worse un-fair and nothing...
