Playing players out of position

Post by Cosmynutz »

Hi there,

I have a quick question. If I have a player whose natural position is RM (Right Midfielder), and I want to play him regularly as an LM (Left Midfielder), will he still gain experience in matches? Also, will this have any negative impact on his performance, development, or overall progression?

The reason I'm asking is because I already have a solid RM, and I just received another RM, so I’m considering playing the new one constantly as an LM.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, he will gain experience and there is no negative impact.

There is, of course, a negative impact on the player's performance when played out of position. But not on his development.
