Biggest budget

Post by simu.ugtm »

What is a reasonable budget to promote to higher leagues?
What is the highest budget that anyone ever had?

Thanks

it depends on high you want to go

for the A league:
i'm a pretty cheap top club, restarted with +/-500M to A, on the way up i keep on trading, so it's not so clear
but i think 2000-3000 M is not strange to reach A
you can go up without a big budget, as a challange, keep on renewing, improving players with budget growth
this is harder, but i can work.

but besides budget, you need to learn the game, so start small
somtimes i see teams with a top team reaching C

i think i know the richest player in SP, but don't know his bank account
wil be a lot

first tip i can give you
think in the long term, SP is like a marathon
and make small progress at a time in the beginning
you don't need a ronaldo or messi in the D league.

Thanks a lot for the answer, that makes sense.

I can definitely see now that in the lower leagues you don’t really need absolute top players to do well. But when I look at the transfer market, the really strong players are insanely expensive, often hundreds of millions, and it seems like you need quite a specific mix of skills to promote consistently. From what I’ve seen so far, low aggression looks especially important.

Also, when you think about a player’s full career span, it becomes pretty clear that if the long-term goal is to reach B or even A, one great player probably won’t be enough. So the budget needed over time is much higher than it might first seem.

Definitely something for me to think about. Still learning, but this is exactly the kind of insight I was hoping to get here.

Are thos "tools" that supposedly help you still available?

Cheers!

Cool site, thanks.

After looking at it, though, it felt spot on for some things (like contracts), but not so much on others (like player value).
That is why I was asking about the tool that is advertised in the game, but I think the link is broken.

The most rich manager (as far as I know) has a current budget of over 6800 M.

I agree with Mr. Charlie. You can build a A-worth team for a budget between 500M and 2000M depending of the aggression of the players you choose.
For an A winning team you need a lot of knowledge and a budget between 2000M and 5000M
FC Remedy is playing in division A
Winner SP-cup in Season 43, 56, 59, 89 & 90.
Champion in A in Season 44, 45, 55 & 90.
Winner Beneliga in Season 37, 41, 55, 56, 57, 60, 62, 66, 68, 70, 73, 88, 89, 90, 91 118 & 119.

7B sounds nuts. But I guess longevity has to show its worth :)

Out of curiosity -> does anybody know what the biggest transfer sum ever paid was and what the player details were?
I really struggle to estimate the value of players.

paying the right price (low for in, high for out) is a difficult task in this game, but also in real life.
sometimes its also the price what a manager want to give for it, for example i would now want to pay 1,5x the value for a good RM because i have a problem in this position.

when i'm doubting what a player is worth, i will look in TEAM > TRANSFERS > OVERVIEW to simular players. It will give a good idea of price.
for yought players, i will take hidden skill into account. for full trained players you will have +/- the same price for een LB or RB,...

I agree, and there are probably some little variations (do you want to resell fast? then maybe your buying threshold is lower than if you want to actually use the player for your team). But these variations should (strong word, could is probably better) always revolve around some sort of "market value", which in my mind is a general evaluation of the player skills, age, aggression, training level etc, + the current availability of similar players.
Obviously situations like the one you describe where a team has a higher sense of urgency to get a player might temporarily distort the market value for that type of player, but it should even out among multiple similar transfers.

I did (manually :) ) analyze the transfers overview quite a bit, but it mostly added to my confusion :D . I saw 2 very similar CBs, where 1 was sold for 2.5M and the other for 20+M. So it's clear that I am still missing something or weighing something wrong, when evaluating how to categorize a player so there are no 8x differences in what (to me) appear to be similar players.

And then there is this sp-info page where the player value is nowhere close to the actual transfer.

For everything I checked until now on SPinfo-tool there was an average 10x difference...
