You're right. But we are playing a Football Manager Simulation. There are distinct advantages to having loans:

1. If a good team has a player who is not good enough for their squad, but they want them to get the experience from league matches, they can loan them to a lower league club where they're considered to be excellent players and will get a lot of first team action.

2. The smaller clubs get decent players temporarily, for a time period of a few games. Theis means they perform better.

3. The team that owns the player doesn't have to pay his wages whilst he's on loan and they get a fee for lending him out.

We can stop cheating by only letting a plaer be loaned so many times per season, and only once to any team per season. That way cheating is minimixed. But let's face it, cheating's never going to go away entirely.

Almost all teams play friendlies and friendly cups, and with that use 2 or 3 different formations. And then will only left the bad players to loan, players that new teams have, or that can arrange in a few trainings...

If there are loans in the game, I will only load my reserves. In other words, I have 3 distinct formations, the main, a second one and a third one, these 2 last to play in friendly cups and the main for important game. So I use 33 players. My team have 37 players, so only 4 can be loaned, but that 4 don't have a place in my 3 systems. That's because they are no good enough, player in the beggining of his senior carrear :P

players that even new teams don't want...

This may well be what you'd do, but others won't. It'd be a good source of income and it'd give the players in those last two squads the chance to play league games, so they gain more experience.

I think that it would be great to loan players, cause as blue said the players who aren't good enogh for your a squad would get experience and become better players
