SP-cup
The SP cup is quite a stupid cup...!! Theres hardly no point for the G-teams to compete, cause most of them will be knocked out in the first round anyway.(and otherwise second round) Maybe we could start with a group round for the G-teams and then after that start with a knock-out fase... ??

Well that he´s first after 2 league games doesn´t mean he will stay that way.sissysquad wrote:I agree... it much more exciting than now... my first match is agains the number one in a e-league... no chanche at all...
But yeah you´re right you don´t have a chance playing an E team if you are in G.
And your proposition about a G cup is cool. But there have to be 3 group rounds, cause there are too many G teams. About 800, I believe.
And I also agree with robbo. There have to be an A B C Cup. E and F. and G.

still have the main cup though. at the moment the cup is pointless unless you are a b/a team because you'll be knocked out anyway. it's just a matter of time. if there were either seperate cups or 2 cups then it would matter a bit more.Red_Army_Squad wrote:Well that he´s first after 2 league games doesn´t mean he will stay that way.sissysquad wrote:I agree... it much more exciting than now... my first match is agains the number one in a e-league... no chanche at all...

well if you would get money for every round you win, then managers would let their good players play in the cup, like me: I will let my B squad play tommorow because league is more important for me, I know that there is no way that I would make it to the semi-finals, so it means I won't get any money for my trouble

Would be a nice addition but I'd wonder about where to fit it in, simulation wise.
Perhaps as well as giving some prize money for the later SP cup rounds any team that gets kocked out before these rewards start then get entered into their respective league cup for the remainder of the season. (Hence it only ever takes up the wednesday cup slot)
Might give a problem with numbers though given an odd number of teams from each will get dumped from the SP cup each season. (To solve that perhaps to solve that just add teams to the league cup "pool" as they get dumped from the SP cup and the league cup begins when a critcal number of players has been reached)
Could always start some smaller friendly cups ourselves only for specific divisions, take a damn lot of work to get enough people into them though. *laughs*

definitely, but i guess we could just join the spfa and then create a 32 team friendly cup instead!Arkzein wrote:Would be a nice addition but I'd wonder about where to fit it in, simulation wise.

Still sturggling by myself as well, though the last game was a close one, have a slight chance to get to the fifth round having drawn a F team but injury woes and a suspension on my GK may see the end of that.
I believe it's more the case that it's nearly pointless to stay in the cup given it dosen't give much benefit (and can potentially damage your league form). Perhaps the simplist change would be upping the TV rights income somewhat as rounds progress. Would make staying in the cup more attractive. (Likewise the early rounds for just the lower divisions, say F and G, E joine in round 2, D join in 3, C in 4 and so forth).
Just more random ramblings and brainstorming.

Well, I agree that the first round or even the first two rounds should be G-only, that way G-teams have more chance not getting knocked out from the first second.
But a seperate G-cup is being organised a lot with FrC's, so just participate in those cups.
