Why are you so worried about team rating? It's an average of all your player's ratings, so it's easily influenced by a very good/bad player.

It what makes the game fun though. If it was plain sailing you'd get bored and leave.

This season i was all set to finish top and go into E div's, but i went away and my first team fitness vanished. I have therefore scaled back my plans and have a promotion aim of 2 years, which allows me to replace my super players who i am selling now.

Youths are a massive part of the game, get yours and sell them if you need money or build them up to achieve a team of stars. It just takes time.

My team rating has been up and down like a yoyo recently. Hit a high of 76% this week, but by selling 3 players it'll crash down. My team is still good just don't have 3 80%+ players pushing it up and i have youth players keeping it low. TS is more important IMO

DEFINITELY! team rating is pointless. is better to view their last match and see how good their best 11 players are.

agreed, TS id one of the most important things in SP I know it from my own experience  because of low TS I'm stuck in D.11 for a 3rd season in a row (if I'll manage not to relegate)

the last league match

if you're going to be petty :P

for example: team 1: f division: 30% team spirit plays team 2: g division: 100% team spirit. team one are rated better and both teams play their best players. because of the team spirit there is a very high chance that team 2 could win, even though they are rated lower.

definitely no!
it's pointless to be every season in the same league, but with different teams.
afterall its pointless (again), because i watched the ratings of the first team in lee400's league and there nothing special - 3-4 seasons from zero and every team can be with same strength than this team is.

You should be moving up or upgrading because of your good results and not because you have € and therefore can afford it!

Simple option?

Promotion and relegation to random leagues.

(Slightly refined, as in three winners and three runners up move into a higher league rather than totally random)

Personally though I prefer the current system as has been said above, I like getting to know the teams around me as was the case when i was playing in F, I'm sure it factors more the higher you go.

The main point against though, let's face it, is that if you want to get to A or B division (Even arguably C, or even D now!) it dosen't matter if you have a tough time in F or E, you're still going to have to end up a lot better than those teams around you to get to the higher reaches where everyone is in and around the same level.

Generally I do and then elaborate. (As you are about to see ;))

The above is not a long post, though admittedly I do tend to be rather verbose. If you want the reasoning I guess I try and make strong points, informative posts or back a view in a debate up with some reasoning rather than simply saying something along the lines of; "this is crap and I'm right. period." which seems to run riot on the internet these days.

Still, I'm sure as hell not going to change the way I think and express myself simply because some folks find it hard to spend 30 seconds reading rather than 10. :p

P.S. No offence taken, just be less agressive in your wording, some of your posts cause people to get angry... no offence. (lol. j/k ok really taking the piss. I know some folks don't read long posts on a forum, to each their own)

Short enough? :D (Ok so I tried to fluff that one up a little on purpose for a laugh, but meh ;))

And I agree I tend to type too much. :D

Anyway, Like I said I don't think you should be able to pick and choose, but random upon promotion and demotion wouldn't be too[ bad. Lose knowing the teams around you but then evens out most strings.
