Live matches
hi i have a reqeust , i want to folow the matches live
Re: Live matches
I think it is imposible.. I guess a match is played by complicate maths calculations done for a less than a second.. (personal opinion)scopedshot wrote:hi i have a reqeust , i want to folow the matches live
I think this could be done as a combination of SP server + Flash client.
Flash client would contain various animations for each game event that can appear in match report.
When SP player log in and select some match, client would ask SP server for the match report in some standartised format and would play all situation of the match in time order.
So, it would be more an animated match summary than a live match.
But when both opponents log in around the match time and SP server will send the report immediatelly after it was calculated it would be *almost* live

I was about to reply with something similar. Using the output from the currently generated match reports to have a visual representation of the game. Rather than an entire simulation done in the animation, which would take a lot more work, or a live one which I doubt would even be feasible.
The flash/Java could be extended to several other areas where a visual representation would be appropriate. Team colours/kit, the stadium and perhaps surrounding grounds (Bars, toilets, shops, restaurants etc.).
Only thing is I'm sure it's a lot of work for what would ultimately be an entirely cosmetic addition, plus it would take the actual know-how and experience in the applications to do.
