This is quite simply a stroke of genius. Money sinks are always needed in online games. (I am still of the school of thought that there should be enough that you have to pick and choose which to invest in, ie a small club may only be able to afford to invest in one, but be as good as a top club in it, whereas a top club may be able to invest in many of the sinks, anyway going off topic) and in this we have a great one, perhaps making it exponentially more expensive as you go up.Paul_G wrote:
This is off topic a bit, but speaking of youth centers, I also think youth centers should have a maintenance cost... an optional amount of money that you put into youth development every year. The more you put in, the more or better quality youths you get, although there would still be an element of luck in there. I say all this because everyone has a maxed-out youth center by their 3rd season, and there really isn't anywhere to go from there. It would also give the top teams something to spend their money on.
Ie 1 extra youth per season (Reducing the number of days wouyld be the easiest to implement I bet), 1.5 million. 2 extra, 3 million. 3 extra 6 million. Etc. Thus making the gap between top and bottom teams not too great.
Perhaps another option running along side to increasing the chances of getting a certain position.
And another to increase the chances of getting a better player. (Both of these by no means guarunteeing it though)
It would allow for the current system to be used still, hence not too much work, but introduce and entire new aspect to one of the most important areas of the game. (after all, almost every top player was once a youth!)
