Have you added American staff? Because I can't find any of those, either. No, I haven't checked everything because I can't be arsed to go through 487 pages of co-ordinators right now, but I've gone through 50 pages and I haven't seen one.
If we're just waiting on staff names, why not just use random names like we do with the players? I'm fine with that. Really, now... all I want is some American players on my team. Because I'm an American team. I don't care if my staff member has the same name as some guy on DC United or not. To be honest, I don't care if my youth co-ordinators name is Arse McButtockson... not as long as he gets me some US players on the field and they have the chance to be as good as everyone elses players.
I don't think it's possible to get genuine staff names for every single country anyway, not small countries that don't have large organized leagues.
This is hindsight, I know, but if every country that you can pick from when you choose your nationality was not represented among the youth co-ordinators, then this change should not have been made until that was taken care of.

I tried that... it's not in alphabetical order. For example, Great Britain doesn't come after Venezuela in the alphabet.
Edit: My fault... must be looking it up by UK.
In that case the United States isn't in there... but luckily there are over 200 co-ordinators from South Africa and I am also glad to see that Azerbaijan is represented - perennial soccer powers that they are.

There are no Slovak staff members, because we simply don't have a list of Slovak staff names.

22 Sep 2006 : Youth player nationality New
As soon as season 14 starts, the nationality of your youth players will depend on the nationality of your youth coordinator and no longer on your own nationality. This way managers gain more control over the nationality of their youth players.
I want to have Slovak player in my team! But i can't find any staff with Slovak nationality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

Countries are sorted on their ISO3166-number, which is how they are stored in the database. I understand this is difficult, but is no other (good) way.Paul_G wrote:I tried that... it's not in alphabetical order. For example, Great Britain doesn't come after Venezuela in the alphabet.

There are no USA staff names, because we did not have such a list yet. All lists, player names and staff names, were sent to us (via Hoevi) by managers who wanted to help.

The player-names should not be random. they are (usually, i assume the same goes for the USA) the real players, only the first and last names taken apart. So you won't find Landon Donovan, but there might be a Landon Djorkaeff or a Cobi Donovan running around on SPPaul_G wrote:If we're just waiting on staff names, why not just use random names like we do with the players? So submit the names of 40 MLS-staff-members, here lies a nice task for you.

Click on roster for every team, there are way over 40 staff-members on this site. Perfect!
Rene, same for you. You list has about 20 staff-names, find some more and send them to Hoevie.
Good point....Paul_G wrote: I don't think it's possible to get genuine staff names for every single country anyway, not small countries that don't have large organized leagues.

To take this further, may I suggest that small countries, or countries that aren't represented in the staff naming list, get staff names from a country that would have similar names?Paul_G wrote:I don't think it's possible to get genuine staff names for every single country anyway, not small countries that don't have large organized leagues.
This is hindsight, I know, but if every country that you can pick from when you choose your nationality was not represented among the youth co-ordinators, then this change should not have been made until that was taken care of.
For example... Create Canadian staff using the names from the USA, Togo and Ivory Coast staff using French names and so on.
Because without that, you're only going to have staff from countries that have very active players, because new players aren't going to take the time to submit names. Also, you might have countries that simply don't have enough organized soccer to generate 40 staff names.
The important thing for now IMO is that every country is covered to some extent. If someone who is actually from one of those countries doesn't like the names, then they can submit new ones, but at least in the meantime they'll be happier because their players represent where they're from.
If possible, I also think adding a filter when doing a search for youth co-ordinator nationality would be a good idea. We currently have 487 pages of youth co-ordinators, and this list will grow considerably as other countries get representation. That's a lot to sort through.
