maybe we would be able to talk to our players like in the football manager 2007 to raise their morale or playing rating...
(just a thought)

what about changing tactics during a match? eg: bring on a new cf if you are losing etc...

I don't really see the point of adding a team talk... the current morale system seems to work OK. But being able to change tactics is a good idea. Ideally I'd like to see 3-4 formations coming off of each set of tactics, that you'd switch between when winning by 2 or more goals, losing by two or more, and so on.
